Out of town players
The Bedford Cannons program is open to all residents of Bedford. In the event your town does not offer a lacrosse program at your desired age group, there is potentially an opportunity to play with the Bedford Cannons. However, please keep in mind, that this opportunity is only available if your current town doesn't offer a lacrosse program at your desired age group and is subject to the status of our registration numbers. Should you have any questions, please reach out to registrar@bedfordcannons.org.
Pre-K and K Boys and Girls - Little Laxers
$90
Grades 1st thru 8th Boys and 1st thru 8th Girls

There is a family maximum of $550 for registration fees - you must register all athletes during the same registration session in order to get the family max discount. Our program is committed to offering lacrosse to the athletes of Bedford. If you have questions or concerns about our tuition costs, please contact registrar@bedfordcannons.org.
Note: The program registration fee does not include credit card transaction charges.
We are excited that Lurgio will once again be offering lacrosse as a school sport for both Boys and Girls this Spring.
Keeping with the goal of our program to offer lacrosse to any Bedford child who wishes to play, our plan is to offer a full program on both the boys and the girls side at this age group. Based on feedback from prior years, we hope to continue to coordinate with the school programs and to reduce some of the practice burden during the week while still giving the kids an opportunity to represent Bedford on the lacrosse field on the weekends. Come the Spring, should our registration numbers not support a team at this age group, we will offer partial refunds for the Spring portion of our program offering.
1/6/2026 Update: Unfortunately, due to a lack of demand, we will not be offering a Girls grade 7/8 program this year.
We view our indoor skills sessions as a huge differentiator between the Cannons and other programs, and value the 'head start' our athletes get by attending.
Please see below for important notes around this year's indoor skills sessions:
We are often asked by participants where and when they can expect their practices to occur during the outdoor Spring portion of our program.
In coordination with other Spring sport offerings in town, as well as with both the High School and Middle School athletic teams, we are allocated practice time on both Sportsman field and Joppa Hill. Once we know our field allotment, we then coordinate with our volunteer coaches to determine their availability in an attempt to find the most optimal practice schedule possible. Historically, we have had nearly 20 teams that compete in our program which can create quite the scheduling challenge.
While subject to change based on field and coach availability, for reference below was last year's practice schedule used for our program:
Monday:
Joppa Hill: Boys grade 1/2, Girls grade 3/4
Sportsman: Girls grade 5/6 and 7/8
Tuesday:
Joppa Hill: Boys grade 3/4, Girls grade 1/2
Sportsman: Girls grade 5/6, Boys grade 5/6 and 7/8
Wednesday:
Joppa Hill: Boys grade 1/2, Girls grade 3/4 and 5/6
Thursday:
Joppa Hill: Girls grade 1/2, Boys grade 3/4
Sportsman: Boys grade 5/6 and 7/8
Saturday morning: Little Laxers
A quick note about evaluations - when it comes to tryouts for the Cannons, we do NOT "cut" players. Our goal is to provide a fun environment for athletes in Bedford to learn the game of lacrosse. Our evaluations are designed to ensure that players are placed on the teams that will best promote their development.
Not all age groups will need to have an evaluation done. As our registration process progresses, the board will determine which age groups and genders will require an evaluation process for team placement. We anticipate evaluations occurring prior to February school vacation with team placements released by the middle of March.
As in years past, included in the registration fee, each athlete receives one shooter shirt. During registration, we collect the data on shirt sizes and will distribute the shirts at the beginning of the Spring season.
We will also be providing every athlete with game shorts for you to keep. We will collect the size information for your athlete during registration and those shorts will be distributed at the beginning of the Spring season.
We're excited to run our registration raffle again for the Spring 2026 season!
Any athlete who registers by 11:59pm on December 31st will be entered to win prizes from our amazing local businesses (list of businesses will be updated as they sign on!)
Your registration is your entry, so register today to be entered!
Our program is run entirely by volunteers. We are proud to be one of the largest town lacrosse programs in the state of New Hampshire and we are continuing to grow. As we continue to grow as a program, our need for more volunteers in our community continues to grow as well. We are always in search of coaches at all age levels. During our registration process, please consider becoming involved in our program. Should you have any questions, please reach out to president@bedfordcannons.org
If you intend on playing Cannons in Spring 2026, please don't wait to register. It's almost a certainty that we'll need to limit roster size this season as we've done in years past. We are one of NH's largest lacrosse organizations, and we often have to limit registrations to ensure we can provide the best experience to our athletes. If you plan on playing, don't wait to register! We cannot guarantee your roster spot if you do not register before February 1, 2026.
