If there's one thing that's for certain, it's this - it feels good to write the year "2021"! And while 2020 isn't quite done with us yet, we're excited to begin turning the page to Spring 2021 and a new season of Bedford Cannons lacrosse!
It goes without saying that the world of youth sports is still not business as usual. But we've worked hard behind the scenes to provide a safe environment to resume the lacrosse development we're known for, and to give the kids of Bedford a piece of the normalcy they so badly need.
As always, we're committed to the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, and families. You'll see all the steps we're taking to address COVID-19 at the bottom of this page, and you have our word that we'll continue to monitor and address changes in state and federal guidelines as we proceed through the season.
For those of you who are new to our program, welcome! We're excited to meet you and welcome you to the Cannons family. For our returning families, this year will be a little different than we're used to. But we're committed to assembling as much of a season as we can safely do, and we welcome you back to our program.
Please see below for details on the Spring 2021 season. We have addressed many of the primary topic areas, but encourage you to email email@example.com with specific questions.

With state and local guidelines in mind, we MUST limit registrations to ensure our athletes and coaches are properly spaced and we have enough room to adequately run our programs. If you intend on playing Cannons in Spring 2021, please don't wait to register. It's almost a certainty that we'll need to limit roster size this season.

While we view our indoor skills sessions as a huge differentiator between the Cannons and other programs, and value the 'head start' our athletes get by attending, we also understand and recognize the decision families must make around indoor sports during the pandemic.
Please see below for important notes around this year's indoor skills sessions:
In order to accommodate athletes who elect the Outdoor Only option for this spring, we will be holding evaluations on an outdoor turf field sometime in March. Specific details will be announced once they are finalized.
Please note that your choice to participate in indoor sessions will have no bearing on your team selection. Players will not be penalized for choosing the Outdoor Only registration option.
A quick note about evaluations - when it comes to tryouts for the Cannons, we do NOT "cut" players. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment for athletes in Bedford to learn the game of lacrosse. Our evaluations are designed to ensure that players are placed on the teams that will best promote that development. More details regarding evaluations will be shared as we approach them in March.
The health and safety of our athletes, coaches, and families is our #1 priority. We understand and respect that each family must make the best decision for them, and vow to make our events as safe as we can. Please read below for the full list of guidelines we'll abide by for the Spring 2021 season.
