The Bedford Cannons Little Laxers program is a wonderful way to introduce your little ones to the great game of lacrosse.
Skills learned include scooping, passing, shooting, cradling, and receiving a pass. These skills are hidden inside fun games - the kids don't even know they're learning! Little Laxers uses a light-weight lacrosse training ball, making it easier for the little ones to pass and shoot.
New in 2026: All Little Laxer participants who do not have a lacrosse stick, will be provided a stick for use during the program.
Little Laxers will begin in January with indoor practices in the Sportsplex on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm. The practices will take place in the back building at the Sportsplex and begin January 21.
In the Spring, Little Laxers will meet once per week from 9am - 10am on Saturday mornings at either Sportsman field/BHS or the Joppa Hill Fields, and features a number of fun lacrosse-themed games designed to teach the kids lacrosse fundamentals while keeping them moving and having fun.
Further details of the Spring practice dates will be released when we get closer to the start of the Spring season.
