Girls’ Lacrosse Summer Team Tryouts: This Sunday Nov 15th

Seacoast United Lacrosse Club will hold tryouts for its 2009/2010 season on Sunday November 15th at the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping, NH. 

Players who cannot make this Sunday should to still pre-register online and note in the “Comments section” that they will be at the tryout make-up date scheduled for Sunday March 7th  at the Epping Complex from 2-4pm.

Tryouts will take place at the following times:

Ages Time Field Check-In
Current 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders 11am-12:30pm Field 3 10:30am
High School Girls graduating 2011, ’12, ’13, and ’14* 1-3pm Field 2B 12:30pm

*8th graders should try out w/ high school group.

BYLA Open House

The Bedford Youth Lacrosse Association will be hosting an “Open House” for the 2010 season, Thursday November 12th 7:30 – 9:00 at the McKelvie Middle School. Any boy or girl age 7 to 14, interested in playing outdoor, spring lacrosse is encouraged to attend.

The 2010 outdoor lacrosse season runs from the middle of March to the middle of June. No experience is necessary to sign up. BYLA offers a recreation lacrosse program to boys and girls under the age of 11 and travel teams U11, U13 and U15. Representatives from the Bedford Youth Lacrosse Association will be present to provide information about this fast-paced and exciting game and to answer any questions children or parents may have about the sport. Adults who are interested in helping as volunteers (coaches, sponsors, team parents, etc.) may also attend.

All players interested in the travel lacrosse teams (levels U-11, U-13 and U-15) are highly encouraged to register now. Due to increased membership, the 2010 roster positions will be limited. Returning players will be placed on a first come basis. Players can register by going to the BYLA website www.bedfordcannons.org.

Bedford Youth Lacrosse would like to congratulate the following players for making the rosters on the U-13 and U-15 Fall NH Tomahawks select team. These teams will be playing in several tournaments throughout the fall. The first tournament, the Blazer’s Cup was played the weekend of October 24th where the U-15 team placed first and the U-13 team placed second. Future tournaments will be held at Bryant College in Rhode Island and the Bulldog Classic in New Haven, Ct at Yale University.

2010 Registration is Live!

Players and Parents,

I hope your Fall is going well. I want to thank the members that attended the Membership Meeting last Thursday night at McKelvie. The discussions were productive and informative. I also want to inform the membership that the following officers to the Board were elected at the Membership Meeting as well.

The newly elected officers will hold their positions for the next year.

Our new website is in the final stages of production and will have our new colors and a brand new format. Along with this exciting new look we will have on-line sign-ups that will make the registration process much easier for families. The registration link is on the existing website and I encourage everyone that intends to play in the spring of 2010 get signed up as soon as possible.

Please remember that our rosters again will be limited and slots will be reserved on each team on a first come first served basis. Pre-Season Session 1:

NH Tomahawks Indoor Lacrosse

The first of two sessions will start November 22nd. All games are Sunday mornings and there will be no practices, only games.

This league is open to the following age groups U-11 boys, U-13 boys, U-15 boys and girls. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to play. Experience is preferred but not a necessity.
